A impressive and elegant building next to Merdeka Square. You can park your car at the Merdeka Square, and walk less than 3 minutes to reach the place. There is a dress code to enter the building, simply no short pants, sleeveless and slippers. Plenty of books you can find here, in fact you can spend the entire afternoon reading your favourite books there. Besides, they also have few computers and proper toilets. Overall amazing but underutilized.

A very traditional style pan mee. Been here (family operated stall) for years, they have upgraded the stall since 2 years ago, which is more comfortable now. Springy noodles (pan mee/yee mee) served in hot broth together with fried anchovies, fried onions and vegetables, totally yummylicious. They have soup and dry, personally I prefer the dry one, and their cilli taste good. Besides the pan mee, red bean soup is also a must try dessert.

There's lots of other yong liew such as tofu, leafy greens and cauliflower filled with fish paste, it's tasty and full of creative in stuffing fish paste in anything imaginable - stuffed mushroom, stuffed baby corn, stuffed fried pig skin. This is my childhood food memory.

A true hidden gem located in Shah Alam. It is quite a difficult trail for beginners, but it is worth it when you reach the breathtaking mirror lake. The place became popular especially during weekends, crowded but you need not worry about getting lost in the forest. We had our breakfast by the lake while enjoying the view.

An average hiking trail, there are many routes reach to different destination, it is advisable to get someone who is familiar with the place to hike together. The elevation of the hill can get quite intense at some area especially when it had rained recently. The entire trail might take up hours, therefore it's best to prepare some snacks. Overall it is a excellent place for a good hiking experience.

Good kopitiam as a choice if looking for quick lunch. Many choices to choose and famous of their char kuey tiew, prawn mee, nasi kukus and many more. There are actually 2 Woh Geis back to back. The old Woh Gei has all the traditional hawker food with the popular chap fan (economy rice) and the new Woh Gei has a more fusion and international cuisine. Food Panda and Grab Food serves both restaurants.

This shop serves both drinks and food. However, it is more famous for its yogurt drinks. Their popular yogurt drinks are purple rice and strawberry. It is freshly made with fruits so you can get to eat pieces of the fruits too. It is not sweet, tasted just nice for those who prefer less sweet. They are also famous for their nasi lemak and mee siam. However, getting a carpark is a bit challenging especially during office working hours.

This budget rice serves the purposes for those on budget meal everyday and it opens at 9 a.m. The location is in front of Mydin supemarket, Kuala Ibai. The price is RM4 if you add half salted egg if not the normal budget rice is just RM3 where you can pick either chicken or fish.

Beautiful scenery, easy trekking trail. Overall interesting trail, but you have to cross several wet (muddy and leeches) and dry paths to get to the waterfall (definitely worth it). Total trail to the waterfall is about 45mins (slow and easy, and you definitely take a lot of pictures along the way). Avoid weekends as it will be crowded and the waterfall is only a small area. Parking is about rm5 and limited.

No entry fee, just park by the roadside and hike. No permits required. Advisable to come early during weekends. This is an average hiking trail, suitable for beginners and families with kids. The entire trail take about 2-3 hrs, there are junctions along the way where you can take a different route. We managed to get to bukit botak but heard that now is no longer available, the octopus tree as well.

2021 Grand Hyatt Mooncake with a very nice packaging design from Melinda Looi. It comes with a tote bag and the mooncake inside the chess set. Perfect as gift during this Mid Autumn. It's available for self collect or delivery. As for the mooncake, it's too sweet.
